Description

Thorin II., called Thorin Oakenshield, belonged to the royal house of the dwarves of Erebor. Like many of his companions, he descended directly from Durin the Immortal. He was given the nickname Oakenshield after using the branch of an oak as a shield in the Azanulbizar Battle. Thorin, like many other dwarves, left the Erebor when the dragon Smaug settled there and conquered the mountain. Thorin was much bigger than normal dwarves and lived to be 195 years old. He was one of the most powerful dwarves in all Middle-earth and was mortally wounded in the Battle of the Five Armies. Thorin received the mighty sword Regal from his deceased grandfather Thrór. Orcrist was an elven blade from Gondolin forged for the Battles of Beleriand. The knob of Orcrist was adorned with the coat of arms of Ecthelion, the handle was made of a dragon tooth. During this time hundreds of orcs were killed with Orcrist. Thorin found the infamous sword in Eriador in an abandoned troll cave and took it. Only the best materials were used to make the elaborately designed replica. The main focus was clearly on the detailed imitation of all elements of the model. The total length of the sword is almost one meter, the blade is made of stainless steel with etched rune inscriptions. The sword handle is made of massive metal parts, artificial gemstones and synthetic resin. The sword comes with a high-quality wooden wall mount and a certificate of authenticity. Decorative collector’s sword, not suitable for use.
