Description
The home of the world-famous Laguiole knives is in Thiers, a small town in the Auvergne region of France that has been famous for its cutlery for 500 years. Originally inspired by folding knives from Andalusia, the elegant knives with the famous bee, the Napoleonic heraldic animal, have been produced there in a wide variety of designs for generations. Ideal for everyday use, these knives are constant companions for their proud owners and embody the French way of life, not least through the typical corkscrew. The 11 cm long handle scales are made of fine Aubrac cow horn and is stylishly framed by inox bolsters. The individually forged and hardened T12 blade is stainless and is highly polished. The traditional slipjoint pocket knife is opened with a nail nick. The steel has a hardness of 57 to 58 HRC, which makes the blade very resilient and usually keeps it sharp for several years.
