If you want a knife for your next wilderness trip, then look no further. The Casström Lars Fält Knife with Fire Striker is a knife which isn’t afraid of tough work and will still look great at the end of the day! Briefly about the Lars Fält Knife with Fire Striker:
– Hand-finished oiled Curly Birch handle with an ergonomic design which gives a warm and comfortable feeling of natural wood.
– Sturdy welted sheath in vegetable-tanned European leather with a draining hole.
– Blade in premium Sleipner steel from Swedish Uddeholm which holds an edge well even during very hard use such as wood splitting.
– Scandinavian grind along with the steel properties, make the knife robust, effective for wood carving and easy to sharpen in the outdoors.
All Casström knives are cryo-quenched. Cryogenic hardening is a treatment process where the steel is cooled to very cold temperatures with the use of liquid nitrogen. This enhances the performance of the steel at a molecular level and in practical terms, gives the blade more wear resistance and is less prone to chipping compared to a blade with the same hardness that was not cryogenically quenched. Casström proudly develops outdoor equipment in Sweden with an individual style of solid craftsmanship and attention to detail, all their knives being entirely produced in Europe.
