Description
The Boker Arbolito BK-1 (Bushcraft Knife No. 1) is a heavy duty bushcraft knife in the style of modern pilot survival knives par excellence. The wide drop-point blade has an optimal length of 10.3 cm and a medium to high grind for maximum stability. This stability is further ensured by the uncompromising choice of Böhler N690 steel. The tang is continuous and protrudes a few millimetres from the end of the handle. This ensures maximum stability. TPE – thermoplastic elastomer – was chosen as the handle material. The material completely encloses the tang and has a classic checkering for optimal grip. TPE is resistant, elastic, non-slip and has low heat conductivity. The knife therefore lies securely in the hand in all weather and working conditions and does not draw the power out of the fingers in wet and cold conditions. The recessed lanyard hole is additionally set with a stainless steel sleeve.
A quiver leather sheath is included – the supreme discipline in sheath construction – with a deep and firm fit for the knife. The knife is thus protected in the best possible way against both loss and damage when carried, without requiring a damage-prone lock that makes quick access difficult. A removable dangler allows either a high carrying position on the belt or a low position under the hip belt of the touring backpack. In addition, the sheath is equipped with a wide leather loop, firmly integrated into the welting, which provides space to accommodate a fire starter / metal match (9.3mm) (not included in the scope of delivery).
