ARCTIC LEGEND Fillet Knife Black Curly Birch Stainless Steel has a rat tail tang construction. This means that the narrowed fragment behind the blade penetrates into the handle to its very end. It was created for filleting and cutting meat. The blade made of stainless steel with a satin finish, has a trailing point profile with a full flat grind, considerable length and elasticity that works very well for any type of filleting. Like the whole knife, the ARCTIC LEGEND Filet Knife BCB/SS is made, finished and sharpened by hand, which gives each knife an individual character.
The handle is made of Black Curly Birch wood. Dried for one year before being crafted, the handle is ended by a piece of real antler, which gives it even greater individuality. The profile of the handle is very ergonomic and thoughtful, ensuring a sturdy and comfortable grip.
In the set with the knife you get a sheath made of natural leather, painted in black. This is a classic solution which matches the style of the tool in it. Wood and leather have always been the perfect combination. Like the knife itself, the sheath is handmade, has a high profile and hides part of the handle to better protect the knife from falling out. It is traditionally attached to the waist in a vertical position.

Maintenance
Please note, every of our knives are extremely sharp, so be careful when handling them!
Do not use your knife for something else, besides it’s intended purpose!
Do not use the knife as a can opener, screwdriver, chisel, hammer, crowbar etc.
After using your knife with sea water, blood, fruits or other corrosive mediums, always rinse the knife with fresh water and dry it off.
Do not wash the knife with harder chemicals or in the dishwasher. This may damage or destroy the knife.
Before storing your knife, apply thin film of high-quality gun oil or special knife oil or wax to knives. We recommend that you always keep your knife and sheaths clean and dry when not in use.
