Description

The “Arditi Destroyers of the Regia Aeronautica” (ADRA), were an Italian battalion operating in the Second World War in North Africa, which was awarded two silver medals of honor for military valor. The ADRA Battalion had the task of carrying out “complex” sabotage missions against enemy airfields through the use of unprecedented guerrilla techniques at the time. Today, the 17th Stormo Incursori or the 17th Raiders Wing, a special unit of the Italian Air Force, collects the baton of the glorious battalion. As a tangible token of continuity, members of the 17th line up and parade carrying as combat daggers at their belts the only true witness of Arditismo: the combat dagger, as the Arditi used to carry on the occasion of the delivery of the war flag. The EXTREMA RATIO ADRA ORDINANZA 17 – STORMO version is finished in black oxide-coated with 17th Stormo logo. It comes in an ABS engraved case with an ankle sheath and a sand-color parade belt sheath, being numbered but not as a limited edition.
