Muela from Spain has been one of the leading European manufacturers of classic hunting knives for 60 years. The family business, founded in 1952 by Eladio Muela, is now run with the help of all his 5 children. From the beginning in the first small workshop, Muela has now developed into a high-tech manufacturer with an annual production of around 350,000 Spanish knives. But despite modern, computer-aided production, manual work is still very important today. In particular, the complex processing of deer horn, a specialty of Muela, is not possible by machine. This requires the many years of experience of the experts who prepare and assemble the knife handles and handle scales by hand. All production steps are carried out by Muela itself, even the production of the high-quality leather sheaths is done in-house.
