Karesuando knives

Karesuando is a place in Lapland in the far north of Sweden. Located directly on the banks of the Kaaresuvanto River, which marks the border with Finland here. In Karesuando, 250 km north of the Arctic Circle, in the land of moose, reindeer, the midnight sun and the northern lights, Nordic knives are made by hand according to old traditions. Karesuando as a manufacturer has existed since 1975 and has manufactured over a million blades since then. Only natural, traditional materials are used, such as oiled curly birch and reindeer horn as handle materials, as well as selected cowhide for the knife sheaths.
