Description
The TOPS Knives Wilderness Guide is one of the manufacturer’s most established designs. It is one of Leo Espinoza’s first designs and is particularly striking due to the shape of the handle. Leo Espinoza was taking photographs for TOPS at the time and modeled a bundle of modeling clay, which he needed as a support for the knives for photography. When he removed the plasticine, he realized that it would make a comfortable handle for a knife. So he designed a wide blade with a high grind to match, suitable for a variety of outdoor and hunting applications. The redesigned ’23 version comes with thicker, rounded handle scales made of sand-brown Micarta, confident blade thickness and a high-strength Kydex sheath. The bullnose drop-point tip of the 1095 carbon steel blade is predestined for preparing firewood through to the gentle skinning of game. The best way through the wilderness!
