Briefly about the version Green Micarta / Stainless steel:
Hand-finished sturdy Green Micarta handle with an ergonomic design that gives a great grip.
Sturdy welted sheath in vegetable-tanned European leather and has a draining hole.
Swedish Stainless steel 14C28N from Sandvik. The blade, following a special Cryogenic hardening routine, holds an edge really well even during very hard use such as wood splitting.
Scandinavian grind, along with the steel properties, makes the knife robust, effective for wood carving, and easy to sharpen in the outdoors.

All Casström knives are cryo-quenched. Cryogenic hardening is a treatment process where the steel is cooled to very cold temperatures with the use of liquid nitrogen. This enhances the performance of the steel at a molecular level and in practical terms, gives the blade more wear resistance and is less prone to chipping compared to a blade with the same hardness that was not cryogenically quenched.
